I’m very happy that the embed player is working so well, now I need to get this puppy up on iTunes!

Hooray for embedded players! And oft-forgotten etiquette. Tell it like it is, laffingbuddha. You might also enjoy my favorite book of all time, Etiquette for Gentlemen. Originally published in the late 1890s, this slender volume remains entirely relevant!!!

    A few gems:

“If you are smoking and meet a lady to whom you wish to speak, immediately throw away your cigar.” [This bit of advice has served me well over the years]

“If you can, converse with a foreigner in his own language. If not competent to do so, apologize, and beg permission to speak English.” [So true!]

“Never boast of your birth, your money, your grand friends, or anything that is yours. If you have traveled, do not introduce that information into your conversation at every opportunity. Any one can travel with money and leisure. The real distinction is to come home with enlarged views, improved tastes, and a mind free from prejudice.” [And how!]
